On March 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., a session of the Expert Platform on the topic “Media Literacy and National Identity” will be held in Room 115/1, featuring a presentation of methodological materials. The event will be attended by the Head of the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, members of the Educational and Methodological Association of the department, the Head of the Department of Journalism and Social Sciences, as well as representatives of external mass media. The meeting will focus on discussing current issues of developing media literacy in the modern information environment and its role in strengthening national identity, along with a presentation of the developed methodological materials. We invite interested faculty members, experts, and representatives of the media sphere to participate.
Within the framework of celebrating International Earth Day, the Department of Geography and Ecology invites school students of Petropavlovsk and the North Kazakhstan region to participate in a regional environmental competition. Competition period: March 1 – April 12, 2026 Award ceremony: April 23, 2026, at a ceremonial event dedicated to Earth Day. Students of grades 1–11 are invited to participate. Competition categories: Grades 1–4 — Handicraft contest using natural materials and solid household waste “Amazing Nature” / “A Second Life for Waste” Grades 5–8 — Video contest “Nature and Ecology of the Native Land” Grades 9–11 — Research project contest “Environmental Threats and Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals” The competition aims to develop environmental culture, foster a responsible attitude toward nature, and support students’ creative initiatives.
