Conducting the contest for the best translation a literary text (from English into Russian)
This contest passed within the Science week on February 25, 2014 at 14.50 in 111/5.
19 students of different specialities of ITF, MPF, NSSF, HELF took part in the contest.
As the material for translation а fragment of the literary work of Rafael Sabatini "Captain Blood His Odyssey", also students had the right to use dictionaries.
This contest allowed to determine the most talented students, capable to translate literature with high degree complexity.
The main criteria of assessment the work were correctness, exactness, expressiveness and size of translation.
Places were alloted in this form:
1 place - Zhaksilik Zhuldyz and Semidotskaya Alina In(е)-13
2 place - Aubakirov Arsen FS-13 and Beysek Ramazan UiA-13
3 place - Kochneva Marina FS-13 and Zavyaova Elena SPS-13
