Kozybayev University Hosts Round Table Dedicated to Manash Kozybayev

On November 20, 2025, the Department of Foreign Languages held a round table titled “M. Kozybayev is a great historian of Kazakhstan,” marking the 94th anniversary of the prominent scholar Manash Kozybayev — the distinguished historian whose name our university proudly bears.

The event took place in Dormitory No. 3 in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It was organized by senior lecturers T.N. Korablina and A.K. Sautbayeva.

The main goal was to introduce first-year students to the life and legacy of Manash Kabashevich and to show why his path and contributions remain significant today.

First-year students from the FHEL, FMNS, and ILL faculties took an active part in the round table. They prepared presentations covering his childhood, student years, and professional growth. Photos, archival materials, and visuals showing the places where Kozybayev lived and studied were displayed on the screen.

Students noted that although Manash Kabashevich lived through difficult historical times, he remained determined, inspiring, and capable of uniting people around important ideas.

The evening was enriched with music and poetry performances. Students presented songs and poems in Kazakh, Russian, and English about the homeland, love, and remembrance — adding sincerity and emotional depth to the program.

The round table became more than an informative event; it offered first-year students an opportunity to connect with the history and the remarkable figure whose name their university carries.
