Lectures by Professor Claudio Colosio at the Faculty of Medicine

From November 12, 2025 at the medical faculty of SKU named after M. Kozybaev as a visiting professor, prof. Claudio Colosio from the University of Milan gives a series of lectures on methods of scientific research in medicine and occupational diseases. The scientist arrived at the SCU as part of an academic cooperation program aimed at developing clinical and biomedical research in the region. Professor Claudio Colosio, specializing in occupational medicine and Ph.D. in occupational health, professor of occupational health at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Milan. Founder and coordinator of the International Center for Rural Health of the San Paolo Hospital in Milan, collaborating with the WHO Center for Occupational Health. Participant and coordinator of several national and international joint projects on occupational health and safety. Coordinator of the ILO working group on the preparation of criteria for the diagnosis and prevention of occupational diseases included in the new ILO list; a component of the WHO core group on integrating occupational health into the new MKB-11. The author of about 100 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, chapters of textbooks and more than 200 presentations at national and international congresses. The university management notes that the involvement of foreign experts opens up additional opportunities for students of SKU - from participation in international internships to joint publications and access to modern research methods.
