"Taza Kazakhstan" Campaign: Fostering an Environmental Culture

As part of the nationwide "Taza Kazakhstan" (Clean Kazakhstan) campaign, the university has organized separate waste collection. The event is conducted in partnership with Raduga KDR LLP, with the support of the Amanat party, and aims to improve the ecological situation, draw young people's attention to environmental protection issues, and foster an environmental culture. Bins for collecting plastic bottles (separated by color) and for other types of waste, such as paper, cardboard, plastic, etc., have been installed in the buildings. University students, faculty, and staff are actively participating in the campaign.

"In this way, we can make our own feasible contribution to preserving the cleanliness of the environment," students note. In just one day, over 13 kg of waste were collected. For further sorting and recycling, it was sent to Raduga LLP.

"The goal of our event is to raise the environmental culture among university students, to promote a responsible attitude towards waste, which affects nature. This is a very pressing issue, as about 4.5 million tons of waste are generated annually in Kazakhstan, and only a quarter of it is recycled. Our task is to increase this figure," said Alexander Zel, Executive Secretary of the Bolashak branch of the Amanat party.

A series of educational events dedicated to ecology and sustainable environmental management are also planned as part of the campaign. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of modern eco-friendly solutions in everyday life. The "Taza Kazakhstan" campaign is not just a cleanup, but an important step towards building an environmentally conscious society. Join us to make our region cleaner together!
