Astana hosted the UniMediaX25 seminar-training, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for press secretaries of universities and research institutes. Diana Khalimova, editor-in-chief of the Kozybayev University Media Center, participated in it. During the event, participants learned about the latest methods in media and communications, exchanged experiences, and improved their qualifications.
At the opening of the seminar, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized the importance of improving the professional level of press secretaries. He noted that this contributes to improving interaction with the public and ensures timely and reliable information through the media. The minister also spoke about Kazakhstan's key achievements in education and science.
The seminar included training for participants in modern media technologies. During the training, Damir Aspan, director of Asker Media LLP, shared the secrets of interacting with journalists in extreme situations. PR expert Asel Serikpayeva spoke about ways to effectively use media opportunities to enhance the visibility and reputation of organizations.
On the second day of the event, employees of the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan familiarized participants with methods of creating high-quality media content, working with official university websites, as well as with new technologies and opportunities in the press services of educational institutions.
Deputy Chairpersons of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akerke Abylaikhan 1 and Zhanna Yesenbayeva, held a discussion on topical issues of the socialization of student youth and innovations in the higher education system.
In addition, press secretaries of universities and research institutes exchanged experiences in strengthening media relations in the field of education and science. Participants also visited the student house of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the Coventry University campus, and Maqsut Narikbayev University. The event concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony.
