Kozybayev University was visited by the Ambassador of India - Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad. A reminder: 6 years ago, the first students from India arrived to our university to study in the program "General Medicine". Since then, there have been 2 graduations of young specialists. That is approximately 160 bachelors. There are currently 75 Indian citizens that are studying at the university. When meeting with them, as well as with the university management, Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad expressed his gratitude to Kozybaev University for training future doctors.
"Your visit once again validates this fruitful cooperation of our countries in the educational sphere. In 2018, the Indian youth came to the North Kazakhstan region. It was a big event for us. The leadership of our region, our university pays great attention towards the implementation of this project. Students study only in English. Classes are taught by both our teachers, including practicing doctors, and professors from foreign universities. Kozybayev University has significantly improved its material and technical resources. Our students from India are involved in the university’s socio-cultural life: they participate in our events, hold Indian culture days,” said Chairman of the Executive Board - Rector Yerbol Issakayev.
Ambassador T.V. Nagendra Prasad supported the proposals to organize an Indian Corner at our base to introduce North Kazakhstanis to Indian culture and traditions. Furthermore, Kozybayev University is ready to accept Indian professors, providing them with all the conditions for living, teaching and research activities, for teaching future doctors and students of double-degree programs. The students told the embassy representatives about their studies and then asked questions that they were interested in. The guests were also introduced to the new dormitories for 1200 and 156 people, modern laboratories of the ULC: medical, agricultural, engineering and IT areas. Two floors of the new building have been equipped for training the medical staff. Simulators and training equipment have been purchased for practicing medical skills in obstetrics and gynecology, ultrasound diagnostics, first aid, history taking, palpation, researching in a laboratory, etc.
