Viktor Seibert is a doctor of historical sciences, professor of archeology, a corresponding member of the Academy of Social Sciences of Kazakhstan, and a world-renowned scientist. It was he who introduced the Botai culture to the world, proving that the horse was first domesticated in the steppes of Northern Kazakhstan. He is the author of over a hundred scientific articles and monographs. He has given a series of lectures on "The Archaeology of Eurasia" at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Belfast, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Most of Viktor Fedorovich's life is connected with our university, of which he is a graduate. He also lectured in an alma mater, led a scientific center, headed a department, and was the leader of the North Kazakhstan archaeological expedition, which included students and the university’s teaching staff. In memory of the outstanding scientist, a hall dedicated to Viktor Fedorovich was opened in the Kozybayev University history museum.
