Minister Sayasat Nurbek discussed Kozybayev University’s scientific potential with the scientists

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the faculty of Kozybayev University. He spoke about the transformation of research activities of universities. Today, science should work for the real sector of the economy. And here it is very important to attract investments from the private sector, to rely on the global scientific achievements, to collaborate with research centers, and use the support of local executive bodies. With the arrival of the University of Arizona in North Kazakhstan region, scientists at our university now have new a opportunity: to use their technologies in agrotechnical, agricultural and other research.

"Today, the volume of grant funding for scientific projects of Kozybayev University scientists is over 700 million tenge. Now the university has entered the program for the creation of Academic Excellence Centers and will annually receive additional funding for the modernization of laboratories, advanced training of scientists, etc. You are the only regional platform for all local businesses to do research projects. That is why, in addition to transferring knowledge to students, you need to learn how to create new knowledge and solutions. Only then the new implementation paths will appear,” noted Sayasat Nurbek.
