Welcome to the Wildcat Family!

The university held a traditional ceremony of presenting branded gifts to first-year students of double-degree programs. This year, 82 people were admitted. Representatives of the University of Arizona met their new students and congratulated them on their admission. Vice President Jenny Lee noted that their university has 17 micro campuses in different parts of the world where students of double-degree programs study. And now the North Kazakhstan guys have become part of this large community.

"As you know, the mascots of our university are the wildcats Wilbur and Wilma. That is why we call our community the Wildcat family and we are pleased to welcome our new students into it! We are proud of you and believe that you will do a lot of good to our society in the future! We believe that you will be able to change the world for the better!", - Jenny Lee addressed the first-year students.

The Chairman of the Executive Board – Rector of Kozybayev University Yerbol Issakaev also congratulated the students. Then the students were introduced to the curators of the three areas in which training is conducted in double-degree programs: information systems, biotechnology and inclusive education – all three explained by representatives of the University of Arizona. But the most pleasant part of the event was, obviously, giving gifts. The students immediately tried on red "University of Arizona" caps, took a group photo and shared that the most nerve-racking part - the admission process – was finally behind them. They were able to successfully pass all the exams, to receive the coveted grant and now they proudly bear the title of double-degree program students of both Kozybaev University and the University of Arizona!
