From China to Kazakhstan for joint scientific work

Five master's students from the Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry in China have arrived for a research internship at Kozybayev University. They will be staying with us for three months. The main goal is to conduct research within the framework of the open collaboration with the Chinese partner university Agrotechnopark. Seeds of potatoes, wheat, rapeseed, legumes, and corn have been provided from China. During the variety trials, recommendations will be developed for planting varieties most resistant to the climatic and soil conditions of our region. The students will also visit agricultural formations in the North Kazakhstan Region, familiarize themselves with the progress of planting work, the specialization of North Kazakhstan farmers, and the scientific support of farms.

I hope that you will not only conduct academic and scientific work but also get acquainted with the cultural features and attractions of Northern Kazakhstan," said Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector Renat Apergenov.

The students from China were also presented with commemorative souvenirs featuring Kozybayev University branding.
