On the Announcement of a Competition for Filling Vacant Academic Staff Positions

Non-profit limited company M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University announces a competition for filling vacant academic staff positions:

1. Department of History of Kazakhstan and Law

Profile: Law

• Senior Lecturer – 1 position

Required documents for participation in the competition:

For persons employed at the University, the following documents must be attached to the application:

• copies of documents confirming advanced training in accordance with the profile of the taught disciplines over the past three years;

• a list of published and equivalent scientific and educational-methodological works, certified in accordance with the procedure established by the University;

• a presentation on their activities and management of their own professional development in electronic form (no more than 6 slides);

• a recommendation from the Department (for candidates for Kazakhstani educational programs) or from the International Campus (for candidates for dual degree programs);

• an international certificate confirming proficiency in English – at least IELTS 6.0 or its equivalent – for academic staff of dual degree programs with the University of Arizona. If a diploma confirming education in English is available, the certificate is not required.

For persons not employed by the University, the following documents must be attached to the application:

• a copy of an identity document;

• copies of documents confirming the candidate’s compliance with qualification requirements (education documents);

• copies of certificates of retraining and advanced training (if any) over the past three years (this item does not apply to practitioner lecturers or persons with confirmed work experience in the production sector);

• a list of scientific works over the past five years, certified in accordance with the internal rules of the previous place of work, or offprints of published scientific articles (this item does not apply to practitioner lecturers or persons with confirmed work experience in the production sector);

• a medical certificate in form No. 075/u;

• a certificate confirming the presence or absence of a criminal record;

• a certificate from a narcological organization confirming that the candidate is not registered;

• a certificate from a psychoneurological organization confirming that the candidate is not registered;

• a copy of the employment record book or other documents confirming experience in scientific and pedagogical work or practical activity;

• a presentation on their activities and management of their own professional development in electronic form (at least 6 slides);

• an international certificate confirming proficiency in English – at least IELTS 6.0 or its equivalent – for academic staff of dual degree programs with the University of Arizona. If a diploma confirming education in English is available, the certificate is not required.

Acceptance of documents for participation in the competition will be carried out from 09:00 on January 20, 2026, to 15:00 on January 29, 2026.
