On March 4, 2024, a guest lecture was given by Associate Professor Nazarbayev University M.Yu. Lomonosov. The lecture was attended by teaching staff of the departments “History of Kazakhstan and SRS”, “Journalism”, undergraduates and students of the OP History and Journalism. Matvey Yurievich specializes in political and comparative historical sociology. For many years he focused on issues of national identity, national movements and nationalism. He conducted long-term archival and field research in the Balkans, which were always seen as a "proto-digmatic case" or even "hot" nationalism.
