Creativity of Mukagali Makatayeva is a bright page in Kazakh literature of the twentieth century. These days the whole Kazakhstan celebrated the 80 anniversary of the poet. Our university hosted the musical and poetic evening dedicated to his work.

Mukagali Makataev Karasaz born in the village of Alma-Ata region, in the foothills of the Great Khan-Tengri. He graduated from high school. He worked as a secretary, a literary assistant of the regional newspaper, a teacher, a counselor Writers' Union of Kazakhstan.

"He lived a rough life full of hardship. The first book of poems was released only 13 years after his poetic debut, and translations of his works into Russian Mukagali never saw. - The students said in speeches - so he never complained of the difficult life because the main thing for him was work.

His name was put next to the name of Abai, Auezov and other classics of Kazakh literature.

Mukagali Makataev not issued during the life of a half written. It was a tragedy for the poet, recognized its creative power, its place in the national poetry.

He died when he was just 45, leaving a legacy to future generations its many strings.

"He was searching for words - wrote Anuar Alimzhanov - which would better express the meaning of life, the essence of Labour and Minister of our generation. And he managed to find such words. Compassion filled his line, kindness and love of man."
