18.09.09 - INAUGURATION OF THE LECTURE-HALL NAMED AFTER F. A. SIM.
The inaugaration of the lecture-room named after F. Sim took place on the 15th September, 2009. The lecture-hall is situated on the 3rd floor of the oldest building of North-Kazakhstan State University. The given choice is explained by the fact that it is the very place where F. Sim studied and worked for a long time.

Almost a year has gone by since F. Sim, 1 pro-rector of NKSU, Professor, Ph.D., passed away (November 6, 2008). He worked at the University for about 45 years. Within that time he could win students’ and colleagues’ respect due to his diligence, responsiveness, and perfect skills in teaching. He received some state and government awardes for his honest work. He was an honorable citizen of the country, a member of the Assembly of peoples of Kazakhstan. The inauguration was visited by relatives, friends and collegues of F. Sim. The openning speech at the event was made by the Rector of the University Undasyn B. Ashimov. The Rector highlighted in his words that only due to F. Sim our University could achieve today’s success. The Chairman of the Korean Cultural Center, E. Khan mentioned that F. Sim was a great person whom he admired a lot. Expressing-thanks words were also said by M. Nekrasov, Professor of General Biology Department and by N. Malceva, the headmaster of the lyceum called Daryn.

After prolonged applause all participants of the event had a chance to observe and value the work done by the people taking active part in establishing the lecture-hall. Moreover, first visitor were suggested to watch a documentary film about F. Sim made by student’s studio PARASAT. The establishment of such a lecture-hall is just a small part of the respect and gratitude expressed by people who really knew that F. Sim was a great person.
